Morocco Tour

I’ve been in Morocco for two days and seen, heard and smelled an overwhelming amount of things. We’ve traveled from Casablanca to Rabat through Meknes to Volubilis and Fes. We went from the coast of Morocco with the Atlantic Ocean inland along the rolling green foothills of the Rif Mountains.

Some of the highlights have been the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, not an ancient monument but amazing for the size of the place and for the craftsmanship that went into the stone and wood carvings, tile work and chandeliers.

Volubilis is ancient, about 2000 years old. It is an amazingly well preserved Roman town. I was excited to see this place and wander around the old stone walls and columns. There were mosaic floors still in tact in some of the rooms.
